Install MuseScore only on machines you are allowed to administer. Respect school, employer, and venue software policies.

Scores you create remain your responsibility regarding copyright. Do not distribute someone else's copyrighted sheet music without permission, even if you engraved it in MuseScore.

GPL 2.0 (as listed on Uptodown for Windows) governs the program itself. Redistributing modified program code requires following GPL obligations. Your original compositions are separate works.

What you see is what the editor engraves: no hidden marketing overlay in the notation itself.

Ethical usage statement

Use MuseScore to learn, teach, compose, arrange, and share music honestly. Credit collaborators. Do not use the software to launder pirated editions or to misrepresent authorship.

Softonic highlights an educational focus and community score sharing. Treat shared scores with the same care you expect for your own work: ask before republishing, and keep attribution intact.

Uptodown frames MuseScore as open-source software under GPL 2.0 with developer credit to Werner Schweer. Softonic also lists Werner Schweer as developer and Free as the license field.

What this site does not do

MuseScore.pro does not host the binary in this static page set. Download buttons are placeholders (`#`) until you attach verified installer URLs. We do not collect account credentials.

No-malware clarification

Softonic states that MuseScore has been scanned with VirusTotal technology and shows no signs of viruses, malware, or spyware in that Softonic security narrative. That is a third-party scan claim for Softonic's tested artifact, not a lifetime warranty for every mirror on the internet.

Always prefer a hash match to the Uptodown MSI value before you trust a file that sat in Downloads for weeks or came from an unknown USB stick.
